About Hysol Project

HYSOL Configuration

HYSOL plant will be able to deliver dispatchable and FIRM energy during the whole year regardless the climate conditions while it uses 100% renewable energy sources for electricity production through is innovative hybrid system. HYSOL special configuration allows the hybridization percentage of the plant to match the needs of the electrical system. The biomass derived gas fuel production is decoupled from the plant location; it will be produced thousands of kilometers away from the plant and transported through the conventional gas network.
The flexibility of the configuration allows the HYSOL technology to cover peaks in demand and base load generation. The configuration includes two decoupled turbines: a Steam Turbine and a Gas Turbine that recovers the exhaust heat in the Thermal Storage.

FIRM Energy

HYSOL configuration overcomes the main inconvenience of RES: variable weather dependent operation. Through its combined generation system the plant is able to guarantee the 100 % of its power delivery even after several rainy days.
