The main goal is to define the equipment needed to implement the proposed HYSOL configuration in a commercial plant. This goal will be archieved by accomplishing the following objectives:
-
To define a technical guide to include all the developments of the project in the definition of a HYSOL plant.
-
To define technical specifications and operating plan to carry out tests in demonstrator.
-
To validate a static model able to determine power plant production in different conditions, using data inputs from tests, biogas production and distribution models with a maximum relative error defined by Technical Committee.
-
To identify modifications on existing power plants required to implement HYSOL configuration.

This WP3 has the following objectives:
-
To research the molten salts solidification in hydraulic components for reducing the installation obstruction risk.
-
To simulate fluid circulation inside the HRS to optimize the performance of both fluids (molten salt-gas), to manage special situations and to model the heat transference in order to obtain the best efficiency.

This WP3 has the following objectives:
-
To develop an integrated control system and the appropriate procedures to manage all the possible operating schemes and critical situations like unscheduled operations (starts, stops, emergency stops, etc.) in order to adapt it for a real hybrid plant and to improve the operational efficiency.
-
To devise the mathematical models for both the laboratory and the industrial plant in order to elaborate advanced control techniques and to obtain the proof of the increased performance.

This WP5 is expected to reach the following objectives:
-
To develop and build the pre-industrial scale pilot (including electrical parts, instrumentation, control, structural and civil works needed).
-
To carry out experimental test and to analyse the results of the validation codes and the real O&M works of the
full system.

The objectives are:
-
To carry out an economic assessment including market potentials, generation costs relative to conventional power technologies, employment and wealth effects as well as an assessment of economic risks.
-
To assess the biogas generation, distribution and utilization alternatives adapted to the needs of HYSOL plants
-
To assess the possible sustainable supply of agricultural residues in the EU, suitable for biogas production
-
To investigate how a large-scale implementation of Hybrid CSP technology will affect the surrounding energy
system.
-
To elaborate a complete LCA of different technology and project alternatives of the Hybrid CSP technology.
-
To analyse the national and international regulation and to assess the necessary economic incentives for economic viability of hybrid CSP-biomass plants.

The WP7 objectives are:
-
To ensure effective transference of information and results between members of the HYSOL Consortium.
-
To ensure effective communication between project participants and interested third parties, including external scientists and technologists, private enterprises, NGOs, public administration bodies and educational centers.
-
To protect both property and intellectual rights resulting from the achievements accomplished in this project.
-
To promote the commercial exploitation of the technical achievements resulting from this Project.
